Referees

Is your child interested in becoming a certified youth soccer referee?

Grade 8 Referee - Entry Level Training, now referred to as "New Referee Grass Roots Training", is currently CLOSED and will reopen on 1/15/2020.

The New Referee Training Process is a combination of an On-Line Training Course to be completed at your own pace and attendance at an in-person session lasting approximately 5 hours. The registration for the online portion of Session #1 will start around 8/10/2019 and will run through 8/31/2019 with the required in-person sessions starting around 8/18/2019 and ending on 9/8/2019. Session #2 will begin on 1/15/2020 and run through 3/31/2020 with the required in-person sessions starting the middle of February and running through 4/5/2020. There will be at least one in-person session most weekends in various areas of the state.

Additional information about the Connecticut State Referee Program can be found at www.ctreferee.net.

Please click here for instructions on the New Referee Grass Roots Training Process. Candidates for Referee Grassroots Training must be 13 years old as of registration date.

When a new Burlington referee finishes training and becomes certified, they will automatically get a new account in the assigning system with the same user ID & password that was used for registration. However, we ask that you still send us an email at info@bjsasoccer.com so that we can make sure you've been added to our referee pool!
