Directions to Lewis Mills/ Har-Bur Field:
Please take note that there are no bathroom facilities at
these soccer fields. There is a bathroom at the Blimpies located
at the intersection of Route 69 and Route 4 in the shopping
plaza.
There is no parking along Route 4 or on the grass
along Route 4 by the soccer fields. Please park in the lot
described below.
From Towns North such as Avon, Simsbury, Granby:
Take Route 10S to Route 44 in Avon. At intersection with Route 44, take
a right onto 44. In two miles you reach the intersection with Route
167, there will be a Sunoco and McDonald's at that corner. Continue
on 44 across 167 and continue for 1.1 miles to a light where Rte 177
intersects on the left. (Vincent Funeral Home will be on your left.)
Take a left on 177 and continue on 177 for 4.6 miles to the center
of Unionville and the intersection of Rte 4. Take a right onto Rte.
4 and continue for 2.5 miles to a traffic light. Turn left, which is
the direction that Rte. 4 goes. After that left turn you will get to
the intersection of Rte 69 at 2.7 miles. Continue straight for 1.1
miles to Lyons Rd. The first driveway on the right takes you to the
Lewis Mills High School parking lot. Take the second driveway
and go all the way to the back, which is the parking lot for
Har-Bur Middle School. To get to the soccer field, walk past the front
of the Middle School and around the left end of the school. When you
get to the back of the school go down the hill to the soccer field
directly below.
From Towns East of Burlington arriving via I-84 Westbound:
Take Exit 39 from I-84 West onto Rte 4. Continue straight through the
light at the end of the exit for 4.8 miles to the center of Unionville
at the intersection of Rte. 177. Proceed straight through the intersection
on Route 4 for 2.5 miles to a traffic light. Turn left, which is the
direction that Rte 4 goes. Continue straight through one light at the
intersection of Rte 69. Lyons Rd will be on your right 1.1 miles past
the light. Take a right onto Lyons Rd. Take the 2nd driveway
and go all the way to the back, which is the parking lot for
Har-Bur Middle School. To get to the soccer field, walk past the front
of the Middle School and around the left end of the school. When you
get to the back of the school, go down the hill to the soccer field
directly below.
From Towns South arriving via Route 69, such as Bristol:
Take Rte 69 North from Rte 6 in Bristol 7.3 miles to the end of 69 where
it intersects with Rte 4. Take a left on Rte 4. Continue straight for
1.1 miles to Lyons Rd. on right. Take Lyons Rd. Take the second driveway
on your right and go all the way to the back. To get to the
soccer field, walk past the front of Har-Bur Middle School and around
the left end of the school. When you get to the back of the school,
go down the hill to the soccer field directly below.
From Towns South or West of Burlington arriving via I-84
East such as Plainville and Southington:
Access Burlington from Route 69 in Bristol and follow the directions
above or from I-84 East take Exit 39 (left exit) onto Rte 4. Follow the
above directions for via I-84 West.
From Towns North or West arriving via Route 4, such as Torrington:
Take Rte. 4 East into Burlington. Take a left at the first
light in Burlington onto Lyons Rd. Take the second driveway
on the right and go all the way to the back. To get to
the soccer field, walk past the front of Har-Bur Middle School
and around the left end of the school. When you get to the back
of the school go down the hill to the soccer field directly below.
